Phase 4 · Support at every stage
Life after cancer
Finished treatment, but don’t feel finished?
You’ve completed treatment, but you’re seeing your team less and feel strangely alone. You don’t know how to get back to work, exercise or eating well, never mind coping with surgical menopause, changes to your body and getting back to intimacy. And every ache, blood test or scan brings the fear of cancer coming back.
As well as being a specialist gynae cancer nurse, I’m trained in cognitive behavioural coaching. So alongside clear information about your body and your follow-up, I can give you practical tools to manage anxious thoughts: before scans, while you wait for results, and in everyday life.
How I help
- Coping with fear of recurrence and scan anxiety, using cognitive behavioural coaching tools you can use on your own between sessions
- Support with surgical menopause, body image, intimacy and pleasure
- Managing lingering side effects, such as fatigue
- Planning your return to work and everyday life
- Rebuilding confidence, so you can move into your next chapter on your own terms
What changes: you feel calmer, more like yourself, and ready to get back to the life and people that matter to you.
